Things are going smoothly with our software development, and we are ready to present another update to the JCOM1939Monitor Software for Windows.
This time, we would like to introduce Version 4.00.00. The jump in version number indicates a major change in how we present the PGN data. In detail:
With this new version, you can choose between two views: PGN View (the new, added version) and PGN Trace (the legacy version).
The default display is PGN View, which shows an overview of all current PGNs along with a counter, making for a smoother screen presentation. Although PGN Trace can provide more effective information by displaying PGNs in the sequence as they appear, it is sometimes more difficult to read, especially with high-frequency PGNs.
The previous version scrolled with each new PGN, making it difficult to follow data during high busloads as the screen becomes too busy. The new version updates the PGN data in only one static line with an attached counter.
