Why We Created the J1939 Community
If you work with SAE J1939, you already know that finding reliable information isn’t always easy. While the standard itself is comprehensive, applying it to real-world embedded systems, diagnostics, CAN bus monitoring, or software development often raises questions that aren’t answered by the specification alone.
That’s exactly why we created the J1939 Community.
Rather than relying on a traditional newsletter or one-way announcements, we wanted to build a place where engineers, developers, students, hobbyists, and anyone interested in SAE J1939 can exchange ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another.

The community is open to anyone interested in SAE J1939 development and serves as the central hub for discussions surrounding the JCOM1939 ecosystem as well as the protocol itself.
More Than a Support Forum
Many technical forums focus exclusively on solving problems. While that’s certainly an important part of the J1939 Community, our vision goes much further.
The forum is intended to become a growing knowledge base where members can discuss topics such as:

If new products or software releases are announced, it is because they are relevant to the community—not because we want to fill your inbox with advertisements.
